5 Mid-Century Homes For Sale Around New Orleans

Mid-Century Modern architecture is certainly not something we're particularly spoiled with in New Orleans. We have to dig a little deeper and, usually, get a little further out of the city to find those little gems. With their wide open spaces, warm wood accents, and glass paneled walls, they are some of my favorite style properties to show. So grab a martini, turn on some Frank Sinatra, and revel in these 5 Mid-Century stunners available on the market right now:

Out in the Bird Streets of Lake Vista, this property was built in 1947 and is a Mid-Century brick ranch. My favorite feature in the home by far is the untouched kitchen cabinetry.

If you've got money to spend, this beautiful Curtis & Davis- designed home is epic with a stunning glass wall with a bridge over the pool. All in the middle of Uptown.

This East Lakeshore home was built in the early 60's and is ripe for some updating, but I really love this architectural canopied entrance.

Located near St. Martins, this architect-designed 1961 home is painstakingly maintained and virtually all original. This vaulted paneled ceiling is present in several rooms.

Enviable Old Metairie location. This early 50's home truly brings the outside in- a cornerstone feature of any Mid-Century Modern design.
