5 Unique Exercise Classes in NOLA

It's that time of year again yall. If you're looking to shake up your dusty work out routines here's of list of some cool alternatives around the city. So here it is in no particular order!

#1 Boxing 

You can take boxing lessons with your own private boxing trainer for the same price as some group classes in the city. I personally train with Marty with KAOS Boxing out of the Freret St. Boxing Gym.

#2 Cabildo Yoga

You can take Yoga classes a couple times a week inside the beautiful Cabildo. For an added workout, bike down there using the city's newest Blue Bikes

#3 City Surf

Picture yourself living the island life at City Surf this bitter January. Bonus, it's a really great full body workout.

#4 SUP

Stand-Up-Paddleboarding is a great way to get outside and be active. Nola Paddleboards does classes on Bayou St. John and weekly group outings on the lake. I've also done that Paddleboard Yoga with them which I highly recommend.

#5 Pole Fitness 

This is the one item on the list I haven't actually tried, but I have heard really awesome things about Awakenings Pole Dance Fitness. Not only is it supposed to be an amazing workout, but it's also said to quite the confidence booster as well.
